patinated bronze figural torchères circa 1890
torchere is finely modelled and cast in the form of an expressive putti figure holding aloft a pair of ribbon tied torches. The figures stand on naturalistic rocky bases, resting against tree stumps. They are raised on red marble plinths with gilt-bronze bands.
